Identification
Reddish-brown coat in summer, greyer in winter, pale rump patch. Stags grow large branched antlers each year.
Habitat
Forests, forest clearings and mountain slopes.
Distribution
Europe, western Asia and North Africa. In Romania mainly in hill and mountain forests.
